Compare · Editorially independent

Pick on facts.
Not on reputation.

Every privacy-first host frames itself as the answer. We do too. On this page we instead weigh the shield in our paw against the shields others raise — plainly, dated, and without disparagement.

Editorial rules · How we compare

Three rules. Same every page.

01 Facts only

Public numbers, public policies, dated.

Every claim about another host is verifiable on that host's own site at the time we wrote it. We do not invent specs, we do not infer from rumour, and we do not lean on private information.

02 No disparagement

Their strengths get equal airtime.

Every other host on these pages protects people we haven't met. Each comparison has a section on where the other host wins. If we cannot say that section honestly, we do not publish.

03 Dated, revisited

Each page carries a "last reviewed" line.

Pricing changes, jurisdictions evolve, products move. Every comparison shows when it was last verified. If a page has not been reviewed in twelve months it carries a stale-data warning at the top.

Why we do not badmouth
“Every host on this page protects someone we haven't met. It is not our place to take a paw away from that.”

Privacy hosting is a small ecosystem. The people who buy a KYC-free VPS from us could just as easily have bought one from Njalla, from FlokiNET, from 1984. In several cases they probably should — and where that is true, our comparison page says so plainly, on the same line as the price.

We do not believe that disparaging the other shield protects ours. We believe being precise about both does. So every comparison page has a section on where the other host wins, written with the same care as the section on where we do. If we can not honestly write that section, the page does not ship.
