Warrant canary.
A signed statement we re-affirm every month. If it ever stops being updated, read that as the warning it is.
As of the date above, NordBastion has received no secret legal demand of any kind, and operates under no order that would compel us to say otherwise.
What this affirms
We have never received a National Security Letter, a FISA court order, or any classified request for customer data.
We have never received a gag order, or any instruction that prevents us from publishing or updating this notice.
We have never been compelled to modify our systems, weaken any encryption, hand over keys, or install a backdoor.
No search, seizure or imaging of NordBastion infrastructure by any authority has taken place.
We have never been required to keep any of the statements on this page secret.
Reported, named legal requests — the kind we are free to talk about — are summarised in the transparency report instead. See the transparency report.
How to read this warrant canary
A warrant canary works by what it stops saying. It is reaffirmed on the first of every month and signed with our PGP key. If an update is missed, a line quietly disappears, or the signature stops verifying — treat the network as potentially compromised and act accordingly.
We cannot be forced to lie here. We can, in some jurisdictions, be forced into silence — so silence is the signal.
