Exchanges · Where to find us

On the fabric, in four cities.

We connect at the public exchange in each bastion city. Share one with us and a session is a mail away.

How to peer

Three steps. Same-day sessions.

01

Check the policy

Our policy is open — no traffic ratio test, no minimum, no paperwork. If you run a network, you can peer with us.

02

Find a common fabric

We are on Netnod, FICIX, NIX and RIX-IS. If we share an exchange, we can light a session there.

03

Send the request

Open a peering request from your NordBastion panel with your AS number and the exchanges you want sessions on. Sessions are usually up the same day.

FAQ

Peering questions, answered.

Still unsure? The garrison is on watch 24/7 — reach support and a human answers.

What is your peering policy?

Open. There is no minimum traffic level, no ratio requirement and no fee — if you operate an autonomous system and we share a fabric, we will peer.

Where can we peer with you?

At four Nordic internet exchanges — Netnod in Stockholm, FICIX in Helsinki, NIX in Oslo and RIX-IS in Reykjavík. Private interconnects in those facilities are possible too.

Do you support IPv6?

Yes — every session is dual-stack. We announce both IPv4 and IPv6 prefixes and expect the same from peers where possible.

How long does it take to bring up a session?

Usually the same business day. Send your AS number and the exchanges you want, and the sessions are configured and confirmed back to you.

Do you filter prefixes?

Yes. We are MANRS-compliant: prefixes are filtered against IRR and RPKI, and we drop invalids. We expect peers to filter what they send us in return.

Can we set up a private interconnect?

At any of the four bastion facilities, yes. Open a request from your NordBastion panel and the network team will work out the cross-connect with you.
